We began the search for software for our outpatient chemotherapy clinic in early 2000. After trying several samples, we settled on Ascend-IV to handle our pharmacy needs. When Ascend-HI became available, we upgraded, and I love it! We originally bought IV because of the ease with which the program is used while still offering functionality. Ascend-HI is even easier, has many more attributes and has improved safety features such as checking for duplicate patient names, drug interaction and duplication, and standard dosages.

Training for Ascend-HI was done over the phone; it’s that easy. Maureen Crane has been there to train us, answer questions, fix problems and take care of our every need. She has been very patient and helpful and above all, she listens.

The upgrade is truly an upgrade. The program has many more features making it more functional and reports are available to properly run the business. I have found Ascend-HI to be faster to use as well, giving me more time for patient care. Hann’s On Software took the lead in making sure that we were ready to convert from IV to HI before having us do so. That made the transition almost painless, and they were on the phone to make sure everything went as planned.
